Biodiesel is gaining

It can also be blended with
conventional fuel diesel. Experts say that in both cases, the emission of
dangerous components can be significantly reduced. Blends are abbreviated as
Bxx, where xx refers to the amount of biodiesel in the blend. For example, the
blend used is B20. It contains 20 percent biodiesel and 80 percent standard
fuel. Likewise, when B100 is written, it means 100 percent biodiesel.

It is produced by separating
glycerol molecules from vegetable oils in the form of glycerin. When the
glycerin is removed from the oil, the remaining molecules can be used as
petroleum diesel fuel for diesel engines. According to experts, there are some
significant differences between these two fuels. Biodiesel molecules consist of
simple hydrocarbon chains and do not contain sulfur, rust molecules and aromatics
like fossil fuels, but biodiesel contains about 10 percent oxygen, making it a
naturally oxygenated fuel.

Storage Process Is Easy
Since biodiesel does not
contain toxic components and is not flammable, its storage process is also
easier than conventional petroleum diesel fuel and it is also less expensive
than petroleum diesel. It is said that biodiesel has many advantages and the
biggest advantage is that it can be used with existing engines and fuel
injection devices. It requires no modifications and does not adversely affect
operating performance.
It runs on par with diesel
and is the only alternative fuel for heavy vehicles, requiring no special
dispensing or storage equipment. Biodiesel can be stored and sold wherever
conventional diesel is stored and sold. Its flash point is very high (300
degrees Fahrenheit) and this makes it one of the safest and alternative fuels.
It is the only alternative fuel that also extends engine life thanks to its
lubricating properties.
